Can't quite afford a Ferrari?
Well, Alfa Romeo has the perfect car for you (and the rest of us). It
has all the sex-appeal and svelte styling you'd come to expect from an
Italian automaker, but at a fraction of the price. And while the 2015 Alfa Romeo 4C
marked the brand's long-awaited return to U.S. soil, it still didn't
offer that wind-in-your-hair exhilaration you'd come to expect from
something of its stature.
But ah yes, Alfa Romeo knew this, and less than a year later, we find ourselves here. The 2015 Alfa Romeo 4C Spider is upon us. Just like the exquisite 4C, will also make its way to the 50 states this summer. The 4C Spider will have all the performance and value of the 4C--just with even more head-turning style and panache.

Performance
Granted,
the 4C is a downright bargain at $55,495. It has a ridiculous 0-60 time
of 4.1 seconds and can reach a top speed of 160 mph, courtesy of it's
slippery shape and sumptuous 237-hp 1.7L turbocharged 4-cylinder, which
happens to be mounted right behind the cockpit.
The good news is that the new Spider won't lose any of that umph. It too, will utilize the same powertrain, including Alfa Romeo's marvellous paddle-actuated twin-clutch transmission.

Pricing
Official
pricing has been announced. The 4C Spyder will be offered in a single
trim starting at $65,495 including a $1,595 destination charge. This
represents a $10k premium over the coupe. When you're talking
convertibles, that's par for the course.
Release Date
The
2015 Alfa Romeo 4C Spider will go on sale late this summer. No word on
how many the automaker plans on bringing stateside, but if you're really
interested in grabbing one, act fast.
